Education Matters Specialists include Lisa Cooper and Jacqueline Coxhead, neither specialise in one age group or area, they are specialists in providing outstanding support!
Tuition and study skills support forms the basis of the majority of the work undertaken by us, covering a wide age range, from 7 years to adults.
 Literacy & Numeracy are covered, as required.

 For students undertaking a Higher Education course, we can provide one to one study skills support for dyslexia & dyspraxia, including dysgraphia and dyscalculia.
Mentoring Support and Academic Assistant Support is also available for those with an Assessment of Need based on medical evidence of disability or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum/ADD/ADHD

Support for HE students is available in the Westcliff study rooms or at the university accommodation or home location. We are also able to provide support via Skype!

Education Matters Specialists offer tuition and diagnostic assessments to students from the age of 7 through to adults in education or in the work place. With a wide range of specialists available, who have experience of all key stages including compulsory education, further & higher education, Education Matters Specialists also have a range of associate specialists who can support students alongside their main studies to maximise results.

Lisa and her associates are all highly dedicated to supporting students. We pride ourselves on our strong links with schools, universities and LEA's. With this in mind we can usually arrange with a learners school, college or university to provide support during the day time, evenings and weekends, in familiar surroundings, if this is required,

Or are you planing to start Higher Education soon?

If you are a dyslexic learner or have a specific learning difficulty (SpLD), or disability & you are planning on going to University you will need an up to date dyslexia assessment to access the Disabled Students Allowance. This must be written by someone who holds a Practicing Certificate (APC)

The process for obtaining DSA is long and delays are common.
