Education Matters has have been supporting university students in receipt of Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) for over 12 years and have a vast experience of working with learners.
Specialist Mentoring is available for learners in receipt of Disabled Students Allowances. We are qualified and registered with SFE to provide support to those with Mental Health conditions, Specific Learning Differences and those on the Autistic Continuum.
Late appointments until 9 pm are available Monday to Friday and weekend appointments can also be accommodated on request to fit in with university attendance and other responsibilities.
Remote/Online sessions are also available available.
Specialist Teacher Assessments for Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) can be provided to schools across Essex and London in order to provide the core evidence from psychometric tests necessary for Form 8.
The service provided to centres is highly specialised and extends beyond testing and administration. Schools and Colleges are supported throughout the complete AARA process, from identifying learners that require potentially require access arrangements to completion of the Form 8 and online applications, including GDPR.
Lisa Cooper provides a specialist consultancy in the area of AARA and this service includes extensive support and advice to centres as part of the working relationship. This includes advice on policies and annual updates to JCQ guidelines and processes.

Education Matters consists of dedicated study rooms. The centre is located in Westcliff-on-Sea, in a well resourced learning environment on the ground floor of a residential property.
Specialist teaching is provided on a one to one basis for learners with varying levels of special educational needs and at all levels of study, from primary to post graduate.

Transformational Life Coaching and Personal Mentoring has the potential to transform. One to one sessions offer a time to explore and consider how we live our lives using a range of approaches, including cognitive and behavioural theories, in a supportive non-judgemental environment that uses evidenced based practice in a relaxed, informal way.
Life coaching is not counselling - it is an opportunity to explore your goals and ambitions. Making time for yourself and investing in yourself is often overlooked. Life Coaching and Mentoring can address areas such as: Confidence, dating & relationships, family, jobs and careers.
